Teresa Whittington & Godwin G. Dixon
Both of us were blessed in the sense of being raised in families that taught us the importance of hard work, honesty, and kindness. We were taught to always give our best, and our purpose, “Seek to Serve,” is woven into everything we do.

Our work has been featured on NBC Nightly News, CNN, US News and World Report, and various DFW media outlets. Despite our successes, we saw an opportunity to improve senior care. In the late 90s, Teresa, a SAGE Federation member and former board member, suggested that Godwin use a personalized home model for assisted living and memory care.
This vision led to Teresa’s House, built on a passion for excellence.
At Teresa’s House, we asked: What would our parents want? What would we want? The answer was clear: a home-like environment where residents can live fully.
